Right leaning stances, according to Ben Carson.

Right On - Ben Carson's been gaining points in the polls. Kanye West says he's "brilliant." Jay Z and Nas have that song "Black Republican." Are there more who lean to the right than we imagined? You may be one if you agree with him on any of the following:Women's IssuesCarson does not agree with the idea that women should be able to get an abortion just for “the sake of convenience.” He believes there are plenty of ways we can help women to suggest other alternatives. Marriage - Carson has apologized several times to the LGBT community for saying offensive comments such as, "a lot of people go into prison straight, and when they come out, they're gay," or using the word "gay" and "pedophile" in the same sentence.Since then, Carson has modified his stance and says he supports civil unions, but maintains his definition of marriage: "Marriage is between a man and a woman. It is a well-established, fundamental pillar of society. And no group — be they gays; it doesn’t matter what they are — they don’t get to change the definition. It’s not something that’s against gays. It’s against anybody who wants to come along and change the fundamental definitions of the pillars of society. Health Care - As a retired Johns Hopkins neurosurgeon, Carson believes health is the most valuable possession we have and therefore should “jealously protect.” He thinks the responsibility of health care should return to the patient and health care provider. According to him, the whole enterprise has been turned upside down since Obamacare, due to an increase in government involvement. He suggests having a health savings account, which patients can control. He believes that the power of education should be at the local level and the federal government should be limited to research and technology.“Education is the great divide in this country," he said.
