Photos Of Missing 17-Year-Old Were Uploaded To Sex Trafficking Websites

Aviana Weaver was last seen on September 12.

New Jersey police are attempting to find a 17-year-old girl who went missing from her home a week ago.

Aviana Weaver of Westampton Township was last seen on September 12 and was reported missing by her mother the next day. Now, there’s reportedly a heightened sense of alarm surrounding the girl’s disappearance as her mother says explicit photos of her daughter have been discovered on sex trafficking websites.

On Saturday (September 21), Angelica Scarlett told NBC10 that she received a text message from an unknown number, claiming her daughter was being held against her will and that her daughter’s cell phone was last pinged to an area in West Philadelphia last Sunday.

Any efforts after the pinging to contact Weaver were unsuccessful due to her phone being turned off. In an attempt to enlist public support, Scarlett has been documenting her attempts to locate her daughter on Facebook.

On Wednesday, Scarlett reported on the social media app that there was a possible sighting of her daughter in the area of Broad Street and Erie Avenue in Philly. She then reportedly went to that location to conduct a search on foot, handing out fliers to people in the area until late Thursday.

During an interview with New Jersey’s 101.5, Scarlett says investigators have told her they have found “pornography pictures” depicting her daughter looking “completely upset and unhappy.”

“This is her senior year. She went to school for the first few days and then disappeared,” Scarlett told the radio station. “She missed an eye doctor appointment. She doesn't have any clothes. This is not like her. She hasn't been known to be on any drugs. We don't have family or friends in Philadelphia. It's completely out of character and scary.”

Aviana Weaver is a senior at Rancocas Valley Regional High School in Mount Holly, New Jersey and is described as bi-racial and Hispanic. She is 5-foot-4 and weighs 200 lbs. She was last seen wearing a nude-colored tank top, black jeans and leopard-print slides.

If you have any information about the disappearance of Aviana Weaver, call 911 or the Westampton Township Police Department: 1-609-267-8300.
