Watch: Shocking Video of Another Black Man Being Shot in Chicago While on Facebook Live
Chicago police are investigating the shooting murder of Antonio Perkins, 28, that was captured in a video posted to Facebook. Perkins was shot at 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday on the 1600 block of South Drake Street.
Police have said that they are aware of the video and are reviewing it.
The video shows Perkins and several other individuals recording themselves while outside when someone opens fire and Perkins collapses.
The video is graphic, viewer discretion is advised. The shooting takes place approximately five minutes in.
The video, which was posted by Joyce Mosley, was captioned, "CHICAGO WE HAVE TO DO BETTER THIS WAS 2 hours ago and now Cicero Yayo is pronounced dead???? TODAY!!!! This is a mockery to our human race!!!! This is so sad it will be impossible not to cry after listening to the family pour tears and describe what's happening. You can't even sit in front of your house and enjoy your families company anymore!!!!"
Mosley's plea rings true; the violence has to end. To date, Chicago has already suffered 284 murders in 2016, with virtually all of them being gun-related deaths.
This is just another example of a life being cut far too short as a result of too many guns being on the streets.
