Police Have Arrested One Person In Connection With Young Dolph's Shooting, And It Isn't Yo Gotti

Yo Gotti is not a person of interest, according to reports.

Just two days after Young Doph was shot in Hollywood on Sept. 26, the Los Angeles police have reportedly arrested a male suspect in connection to the incident, which ultimately left the rapper in critical condition. Corey McClendon was reportedly detained near the scene of the crime shortly after the shooting occurred, Billboard reports.

While McClendon was arrested on the suspicion of attempted murder, Officer Irma Mota suggests the LAPD is still on the hunt for at least two other suspects. According to a statement LA Police Chief Charlie Beck released to KABC-TV, Dolph was reportedly “targeted because of who he is and some kind of beef that’s ongoing. I think this was something he from with him from across the United States," he said.

Although TMZ initially reported that Yo Gotti was a person of interest in the shooting due to an alleged altercation he and Dolph’s team had outside of Loews Hollywood Hotel that day, officials are now saying that is not the case, Pitchfork reports.

Dolph was reportedly rushed to the hospital after several shots were fired at him outside of the Loews hotel. While he isn’t completely of the woods yet, sources say the 26-year-old rapper’s condition is now stable.
