After 15 Years Of Beef, Jay-Z Just Reunited With This Former Foe

This is huge.

In 2017, Roc Nation helmsman Jay-Z is serious about righting all of his wrongs.

First with the release of his deeply revelatory 4:44 opus and now with the burying of a 15-year-old hatchet with his former mentor and fellow Brooklyn rap heavyweight Jaz-O.

Spotted together at the Chicago stop on his 4:44 tour, Hov, Jaz and superproducer No I.D., who is also credited as the album’s executive producer, struck a pose, confirming the peace treaty.

Those who have followed Jay’s ageless hip-hop career closely understand the weight of their reconciliation, especially considering that Jaz-O was the catalyst that lifted off Jay’s iconic career. Mr. Shawn Carter’s rap moniker, “Jay-Z,” also pays homage to Big Jaz.

Formerly, Hov paid his fair share of disses in a more blunt approach for tracks like “F**k Jaz-Z AKA Jaz Ho” and one of his Blueprint series installments, “Blueprint 2.” Jaz-O fired back with “Ova,” and it’s “Ova Part 2” follow-up, and the shots boomeranged back and forth from there. Now, it seems the two men have fortunately abandoned their differences for the greater good of hip-hop.

And with Hov turning over a new leaf in the name of his own manhood, the resolution topping off 2017 couldn’t come at a better time.
