After first-time Super Bowl champions Philadelphia Eagles claimed victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday (February 4), Pats fans were in desperate need of some tender, loving care.

And they received that at Jennifer Lopez’s post Super Bowl concert — up until she brought out her beau thing, Yankees baseball star Alex Rodriguez, on stage with her.

In a video obtained by TMZ, J.Lo walks the stage in a sparkling one-piece ensemble while inviting A-Rod to join her.

“Baby, can you come on out here?” she says before he makes his way to the stage.

A-Rod reveals to the audience, which had already started jeering against him, that he felt brave to face the stage. He admits that J.Lo even had to beg him to make his Super Bowl concert stage debut, which she seconds on her mic. Unfortunately, the boos continued even as he cracked a couple of jokes on himself.

“In all seriousness, am I the luckiest guy in the world or what?” he says. “Let’s be honest, all of you are probably thinking, ‘What the hell is she doing with him?’”

Though flattering, the Latina songstress rejects his comments, and before the clip ends, it appears the crowd is also still rejecting him despite A-Rod’s comedy attempts.

Thankfully, Jenny salvaged the energy by continuing to kill her performances.
