Jay-Z Addresses Rumors He Has A Secret Son On 'Heard About Us'
Jay-Z and Beyonce have made it a habit of revealing family-related and personal information on each of their last solo albums. Now, dropping their joint venture Everything Is Love, you’d only expect for them to address even more about themselves.
They do just that on “Heard About Us.” On the track, Hov bloodies up the rumor that he’s the father of Rymir Satterthwaite.
“Billie Jean in his prime,” he raps on the song. “For the thousand time, the kid ain't mine / Online they call me Dad, kiddingly / You're not supposed to take this Dad thing literally.”
Genius makes note that the reason Jay mentions "Billie Jean" is, well kind of obviously, the most famous paternity denial in history. Satterthwaite first publicly claimed Jay-Z was his father in 2016.
Rymir’s mother told The Sun she hooked up with the legendary rapper in 1992 when he was only 16 years old. The mother and son have supposedly tried to get into contact with Jay since 2009 and claim he’s been trying to dodge a paternity test since.
As aforementioned, Jay-Z and Beyonce dropped their first joint album on Saturday (June 16). Under the duo name, The Carters, the nine-track project was accompanied by a video for the song “Apeshit.”
