Ginuwine Paid Tribute to Aaliyah Using a Photo of the Wrong Woman

"C'mon, mane." - *Keyshawn Johnson voice*

Everyone makes mistakes. The important thing is that you correct your wrongdoing whenever possible. The problem for Ginuwine though is that his most recent mistake happened where everyone could see it.

The “Pony” singer recently posted a heartfelt tribute to Aaliyah to Instagram, only the picture he posted alongside the tribute was of some other woman. After enough people called him out for it, he switched it up by posting a different pic, this time of him and Aaliyah (which we're not sure why he didn’t post first anyway).

The Shaderoom caught Ginuwine’s mistake though and everyone had a laugh at his expense but also in honor of Aaliyah, who passed away 15 years ago yesterday (August 25). “Missing this queen,” he wrote. “Love you forever.”

The two singers collaborated on Ginuwine’s 1999 song “Final Warning / Interlude” from his album 100% Ginuwine. They also appeared together on the 1996 remix of “One in a Million,” a single also featuring Missy Elliott and Timbaland.
