Madame Tussaud's 'Adjusted' Beyoncé's Wax Figure and It Still Doesn't Look Like Beyoncé

Fix it, Jesus.

Despite Beyoncé being the most well-known artist in the music industry right now, some people still don’t seem to know what she looks like. After Madame Tussauds unveiled an unrecognizable version of the singer at its exhibit, Twitter annihilated the famed museum, prompting the figure’s removal. But even after a few adjustments to the “styling and lighting,” the figure looks just as terrible as it did before.

The wax museum was accused of whitewashing the singer and getting a number of her features completely wrong with the original Beyoncé figure. Although pictures on social media seemed to prove the allegations to be true, the company released a statement attributing the problem to “lighting within the attraction combined with flash photography.”

The New York Times revisited the exhibit following the re-unveiling of the figure and there’s still quite a bit of concern. The new figure definitely shows some alterations to Bey’s face, and they added a little more melanin to her complexion, but it is still not the Beyoncé we know and love. “Lighting within the attraction combined with flash photography may distort and misrepresent the colour of our wax figures,” the museum reiterated. “We have adjusted the styling and lighting of her figure and she is on display.” It also should be noted that the “styling” has not changed from the original and still clothes her in an outdated performance outfit from the early 2000s.

Judging by the fact that the company mastered Kylie Jenner’s wax figure, it’s clear that lighting and styling is far from the issue. Can someone give these sculptors another picture of Beyoncé? Clearly they have not seen her in a while.
