Chris Brown Is Being Slammed On ‘International Women’s Day’ By This Singer

She's fed up over fans tagging her in his Instagram post...

International Womens’ Day brought ladies from all over the world together on Thursday (March 8) and all of the men who support, cherish and love them.

Singer Vanessa Carlton attempted to exclude R&B megastar Chris Brown from that circle, however, citing his 2009 domestic violence incident. And it’s all thanks to a video he posted to Instagram featuring her 2002 hit, “A Thousand Miles.”

The video on Breezy’s Instagram was one of the classic scenes from the Black cinema comedy sensation, “White Chicks.” In the scene, Terry Crews’ character hilariously bursts out with his own sing-a-long to the pop record from the driver’s seat of his car.

Breezy captioned the post of the clip with a reiteration of Crews’s excitement in the scene: “I LOVE THIS SONG.”Thereafter, several Team Breezy fans tagged the singer to share in on the comedy with him. However, she didn’t find anything funny about her song landing on Chris’s page—even by way of a movie scene.

“Today, Chris Brown posted my video,” she wrote in a separate post. “I am now being repeatedly tagged to his account. Being that today is International Women’s Day I feel compelled to draw a line.”

She went on to say that she only supports “survivors, not perpetrators” of domestic violence. Carlton considers Breezy to be the latter, and informed everyone that she wanted no parts of any posts, Instagram or other connections to “an artist that has assaulted women on a day like today.”

Breezy came across the post, and responded with just as much tact, informing her that he simply posted the song because he still enjoys the track 16 years later. He didn’t appreciate her shifting what was innocent enough of an Instagram post to a conversation about his past on a celebratory day for women around the globe.

“I posted a song that was and still is a great song and the artist felt she was doing her duty as a WOMAN to continue to spread this kind of hatred today,” he responded, tagging her on the now-deleted post. “I won’t keep it up long. I just hope she knows she is loved and her song is great."

Shout-out to Breezy for handling yet another person who's stuck in his past with tact.
