That Time Beyoncé Taught Oprah How To Dance On Live Television

I. Conic.

Beyoncé is a queen of many trades: queen of the Carter family, queen of the BeyHive, queen of internet-breaking, and queen of every track she touches.

So it was only right that she joined royalty forces with the Queen of All Media on television, Oprah Winfrey, to give her a 101 on some of her signature dance moves that keeps Queen Bey’s stages on fire.

Originally posted by Hollywood Unlocked, the iconic moment in TV history happened in 2003, when Bey appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show. In a mini tutorial for the audience, Bey stood up in a classy, nude-hued dress and heels to show Oprah how to hit one of her simpler dance moves. She accredited the move back to African culture where the hips are switched back and forth.

“It’s in the hips, it’s in the waist,” she explains before Oprah busts out with her own try. The legendary television hostess executed it so stylishly that the crowd burst with excitement as she and Bey rocked their hips to the groove simultaneously.

Good times, man. Good times.
