It Looks Like Janet Jackson's Comeback Will Be All Sorts of Lit

Prepare thine edges.

Don’t call it a comeback!
After spending some downtime in New York City with her 6-month-old son, Janet Jackson is reportedly returning to her stomping grounds in Los Angeles to start working on some huge projects. Rumor has it the singer is plotting a new tour and documentary.

According to a source at Entertainment Tonight, Janet is gearing up to get performance ready for her State of the World Tour. In preparation for her return to the live stage, the source noted that she’s lost more than 65 pounds and is sticking to a rigorous exercise and eating schedule. “She will hit the stage with the passion and fire that her fans have come to expect from her when her tour starts on Sep. 7,” ET’s insider spilled. Jackson previously postponed her Unbreakable World Tour following her pregnancy announcement. It’s unclear whether she will add those tour stops on to her new schedule though.

In addition to her upcoming concert voyage, the source added that the singer is in the middle of negotiations for filming a documentary that will highlight what goes on behind the scenes of her tour as well as her life as a mother. A potential title or distributor hasn’t been announced as of yet, but Netflix might be eyeing the new doc, ET reports.

Jackson and her estranged husband, Wissam Al Mana separated back in April 2017, only four months after their son, Eissa, was born. Following their separation, various reports claimed that Jackson could cash in on $200 million based on the conditions of the couple's prenup. There’s no word if that money came through, but it’s likely the singer will see a lot of moolah flowing in from her tour and documentary.
