SZA Might Have Revealed Something About Cardi B That Will Send Fans Over The Edge

She has thoughts on the latest "Nicki versus Cardi" debate, too.

California’s musical treasure trove Coachella is in full effect on Friday (April 13), the kickoff of the double-weekend music festival that will bring together some of music’s most admired and sought-after talents across all genres such as Beyoncé, Eminem, The Weeknd, Vince Staples and many more.

Ironically, it will also reunite some of our favorite (and most recent) collaborators such as mommy-to-be and Bronx femcee starlet Cardi B and the Top Dawg Entertainment R&B-neo-soul gifted, SZA. After surprising fans with a feature on Cardi’s debut album, the CTRL songstress hinted that there could be another treat from the “I Do” duo that’s certain to leave the Bardi Gang shooketh.

TMZ caught up with SZA as she was heading out from the Nas-partnered Sweet Chick restaurant in L.A. and asked if she’d be sharing a stage with Cardi. After all, fans did go berserk when they shared the finale track of the Bronx-native’s Invasion of Privacy record.

“That would be gnarly, I would be honored,” she responded.

She couldn’t confirm anything just yet, though, and wouldn’t want to draw the curtain back on any surprises Cardi has planned for her set either. The reporter shifted gears by asking about the steamiest and most recent topic in femcee hip-hop involving the “Be Careful” rapper as well: a Nicki Minaj controversy. He asked SZA if she believes their “feud” is “healthy” for the female rap game right now. But let her tell it, she’s not even sure if she’d use the aforementioned words to describe what’s happening between the women.

“Do you consider that a feud, or like, outside influence and opinion?” SZA replied.

The “All The Stars” singer, instead, believes that Cardi and Nicki are “championing themselves” in their current positions in the rap game.

“I don’t really see any ill words being spread on either side,” she added. “I think they’re doing just fine. They’re grown women and they’re very empowering…”

Way to keep the femcee unity strong, SZA!
