Nicki Minaj Reportedly Will Testify In Her Brother’s Child Rape Case
As legal proceedings officially begin in Jelani Maraj’s child rape trial, where he faces allegations of raping his then-11-year-old stepdaughter, the opposing legal teams are heavily gearing up evidence, statements and witnesses.
According to TMZ, one of the people to take the stand in support of Maraj will be his sister, megastar femcee Nicki Minaj.
David Schwartz, Maraj’s defense attorney, alleged that the victim’s mother and Maraj’s ex-wife Jacqueline Robinson coerced her children into lying, the site reports. This was reportedly in an attempt to extort $25 million from Nicki, which reports suggest The Pinkprint rap star will reveal to jurors in her witness testimony.
"I can make the charges go away for $25 million,” Schwartz said of Robinson’s alleged statement to Nicki. The defense attorney added that she even went so far as to marry Maraj with the sole motive of getting to Nicki’s pockets.
TMZ concludes that there are no details on when she’s expected to appear in court. No official statements from her camp nor Maraj’s defense team have been released yet.
