Gucci Mane Just Scored a Starring Role in New Feature Film Alongside Al Pacino
Gucci Mane continues to be one of the hardest working in the rap game right now.
On top of readying new music, including October’s Woptober album, working on his forthcoming clothing line, having an autobiography in the works and being fresh off of house arrest, the rapper has added yet another new endeavor to the list: returning to the silver screen.
During a recent interview with GQ, Gucci Mane shared that he will be acting in a new movie, co-starring alongside the likes of Al Pacino, Benicio Del Toro and James Franco.
Earlier this summer, the rapper worked with director Harmony Korine on a short video for Supreme and now the two are linking up again, but this time in a bigger way.
Korine, who is known for the success of the film Spring Breakers, in which Guwop had a hilarious cameo, has recruited the rapper once more, this time for a feature film titled The Trap.
“Harmony is my close friend, so it was easy,” the rapper said of working in front of a camera with Korine in the past. “He’s super creative. Me and him work good together because we just freestyle s**t, both of us don’t have no rigid mind state when we bring something to life. I love to act. It was just a great experience being in Spring Breakers and it was just the beginning.”
Filming is set to begin soon.
