Kodak Black Indicted On First Degree Sexual Assault Charges
A South Carolina grand jury has officially indicted rising rap star Kodak Black on first degree criminal sexual misconduct charges that stem from a February 2016 incident.
According to WPDE, Kodak is accused of allegedly sexually assaulting a teenaged girl after a club appearance in Florence, South Carolina. The victim allegedly reported news of the assault to her school nurse, before a school resource officer informed the Florence County Sheriff’s office of the alleged incident.
Sun-Sentinel.com says Kodak allegedly pushed, bite and sexually assaulted the alleged victim.
An arrest warrant was issued for the rapper in May 2016 while he was imprisoned on separate charges. After he was sentenced in August 2016 for another set of separate charges, he was transferred to South Carolina where he paid $200,000 bond and was ordered not to discuss the case publicly.
Official details surrounding a trial date and possible sentencing have yet to be released.
