Jeezy Reportedly Being Sued Over Wrongful Death Case

The family of the concert promoter killed in 2014 filed the lawsuit.

In 2014, tragedy struck Jeezy's concert with Wiz Khalifa when a shooting took place backstage at the concert venue and leaving one dead.

As reported, this case now has a new development, with the family of the victim, concert promoter Eric Johnson, now filing a lawsuit against the Atlanta rapper.

According to reports, the wrongful death suit is claiming that an eyewitness allegedly identified a photo of Jeezy in a lineup from authorities, with a second describing the shooter as someone who looked "eerily similar to the way Young Jeezy looked" that evening.

Jeezy was never charged or named a suspect in the tragic incident, with the family adding that they reportedly were "never given direct explanation as to who was suspected of the crime."

As the time of this report, Jeezy is being sued for "funeral expenses and other damages."

Jeezy has previously denied any involvement in the shooting publicly, but was arrested (and later cleared of charges) for possession of an assault rifle after authorities searched his tour bus the evening of the shooting.

More on this story as it develops.
