Is Cash Money Blocking Lil Wayne Guest Verses Now?

#FreeWeezy.

Lil Wayne is really in rap label jail right now. #FreeWeezy used to mean freeing him from prison, however this may be worse for the YMCMB rapper.

Damian Lillard, one of the best point guards in the NBA turned off-season rapper, recorded a song with Wayne for his album The Letter O, but apparently the version of his song “Loyal to the Soil” with Wayne didn’t make it onto the LP in an official capacity thanks to his “parent label.”

Lillard, aka Dame D.O.L.L.A., took to Instagram and Twitter yesterday (October 25) and shared the news to fans who may’ve been wondering why everything played out in the fashion it did.

“Unfortunately, I am being forced to remove Lil Wayne from #TheLetterO track ‘Loyal to the Soil’...” he tweeted. “Despite my agreement with Wayne, his parent label is forcing me to remove him.”

If Birdman is trying to get back into good graces with Weezy, this isn’t how to do it. The song was making its way up the charts and even peaked at No. 5 on the iTunes hip-hop charts.

Check out what Dame D.O.L.L.A. had to say about his Lil Wayne feature below and stream The Letter O here.
