Meet Kodak Black's New Hip Hop Mentor
A hip hop veteran has recently taken Kodak Black under his wing after seeing what many may consider a cry for help — or direction — during a recent interview on The Breakfast Club. The two have reportedly gotten so close that their relationship is now being likened to a father-son duo.
The upstanding music icon who decided to mentor the recently problematic young rapper is "Mr. Ice Cream Man" MC, Master P.
Master P reportedly spoke to TMZ about their new relationship, revealing that they got together after he heard Kodak's words from the Breakfast Club interview back in January where he mentioned that he wanted him to serve as his mentor.
Since their relationship's flourished, P said he's been showing him the ropes of the music bsuiness and now feels like a father figure to him.
Most recently, in June, Kodak appeared at a celebrity basketball game for Master P's foundation, Team Hope NOLA, shortly after he was released from prison for violating his house arrest.
Their next charitable collaborative effort will be a back-to-school fundraiser on August 14 in Pompano Beach, Florida, where Kodak's from. While there, they plan to provide more than 1300 children with school supplies.
From the looks of this, it seems as P is really helping steer the young rapper in the right direction.
