Joe Budden, one-fourth of Slaughterhouse, allegedly went into a jealous rage and assaulted a woman he was dating. Sources say he slammed her head into a dashboard, drove her to his New Jersey home and continued to pound on her.

The unidentified girlfriend (which is unusual for Joe; his career highlights include the way he overshares about his relationships) was left with bruises, according to photos obtained by TMZ.

Police are said to be investigating the claims.

The "Pump It Up" rapper was set off by pics of her clubbing with other men, the sources contend, saying that he found her at a restaurant after he saw the photos, dragged her out to his car, choked her and then beat her.

She reportedly had broken up with him on Sunday (Aug. 17).

Meanwhile, Joe hasn't addressed the allegations directly, but he has alluded to the accusations via Twitter. "I wonder what the check looks like when ppl feed MediaTakeOut these stories..," he wrote in one tweet. "Messy break ups are so.. Well……. Messy," he wrote in another.
