Meek Mill's long-spanning legal woes have marred the MMG rapper's career over the course of a decade.

Now it appears as though his highly publicized case has hit yet another roadblock. 

According to a new report from NBC, Meek's lawyers recently filed an application requesting the Pennsylvania Superior Court release the rapper on emergency bail. Unfortunately, the Wins & Losses lyricist was denied the waiving of his current stay at the Pennsylvania State Correctional Institution yesterday (Nov. 28). 

Meek's application for release will now be turned over to Judge Genece Brinkley, the official who has overseen his case thus far. In spite of his legal team seeking Brinkley's recusal from the case, citing unfair bias and a personal vendetta, the judge will continue to preside over the case. It is also worth noting that Brinkley is reportedly under investigation by the FBI for a "possible extortionate demand" after suggesting that Meek terminate his contract with Roc Nation to sign with a colleague, Charlie Mack.

The news of Meek's denied bail request comes fresh on the heels of Al Sharpton visiting the rapper in jail. According to the civil rights activist, the two had a “very blunt talk” concerning Meek’s current prison sentence and the flawed criminal justice system. Following the meeting, Sharpton spoke alongside the rapper’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, in a press conference about what went down.
