DJ Mustard on Mistah F.A.B.: We Talked It Out

Producer and rapper call a truce after "miscommunication" that led to a scuffle in San Francisco.

DJ Mustard and Mistah F.A.B. settled whatever led to their scuffle in San Francisco last month. Even though F.A.B. sustained the brunt of pushes and hits from Mustard's entourage, the Compton-bred producer isn't harping on the fight.

He and F.A.B. have talked out their differences"Everybody tried to make it Bay [vs.] L.A., it's not that serious," he told Tim Westwood in an interview posted Tuesday (July 29). "We was out there getting money, at the end of the day I got paid to be where I was at. I wasn't expecting that, I mean the Bay loves me, I love the Bay. What really happened was a miscommunication between me and him. When he came up to me, I looked back to see where my security's at like, 'How you let him get up here?' He swung and s--t, we did what we had to do."

They were in communication after the fracas, and immediately squashed the drama. "Me and him got on the phone and we talked like men and we worked it out. It's nothin' after that," Mustard said. "I'm getting too much money to be fighting people."

The media blew the story out of proportion and misreported details, like Mustard getting slapped. He clarified that he actually got "socked."

"Any man can take a sucker punch, but if you get slapped, it's other repercussions to that," he pointed out. "So I just wanted everybody to know that I ain't never get slapped. I got socked, and then we did what we had to do."
