Before Kim Kardashian set out to “break the Internet” with her nude Paper Magazine cover, she and her brood were given the highest fashion compliment. In Zappos Couture, Vogue style guru Andre Leon Talley branded the Keeping Up With Kardashians star, Kanye West and their baby daughter North West the “first family of fashion.”

But apparently some fashionistas bristled at the mere idea of that notion. And one of the most brash style media mavens has spoken. Fashion Queens host Bevy Smith, back on the scene for the Bravo show’s third season, respectfully does not share Talley’s opinion.

“I think Andre Leon Talley is an amazingly gifted fashion journalist and chronicler of our times,” Smith told TheWrap. “I don’t necessarily agree with everything he says. And, um, I guess this is one of those times.”

As vocal as West is about his family's detractors and as seriously as the Grammy Award-winning rapper is about his haute couture style, one has to wonder if he will have a comment on the matter soon.
