Kanye West isn't making any friends in the fashion world. The impetuous rapper has angered a number of designers for the second year in a row at New York Fashion Week by scheduling a last-minute show that conflicts with other, previously planned events. Thanks to Yeezy, at least two designers are being forced to reschedule their shows at the 11th hour.
The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CDFA) creates the NYFW schedule through a digital system to ensure that there will be no conflicts, and announces show schedules six weeks prior to opening day. But Yeezy decided to hold his Yeezy season three show and Waves album release at Madison Square Garden on the first day of Fashion Week, leaving others scrambling to change their times or face the prospect of empty seats.

This decision forced two established designers, Marissa Webb and Adam Selman, to reschedule their shows to earlier in the day. Webb, the creative director at Banana Republic, sent out an email about the change to her colleagues making it clear who's to blame: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are ‘swishing; the time of the show to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Feb 11. Sorry for making ‘waves.’” 

This is not the first time West has derailed other designer’s schedules by announcing a last-second show. He did the same at last year's event to which a designer affected by the change said, “Kanye knows he is a media sensation and it is just not ethical to do this.”
