Dawn Robinson Threatens to Sue Over En Vogue TV Movie

Singer upset that she was not included in the film.

Dawn Robinson isn't thrilled the En Vogue film set to premiere on Lifetime this week doesn't include her. In fact, the singer is threatening to sue the network if it airs the film that doesn't feature her as a character, TMZ reports.
An En Vogue Christmas, scheduled to premiere on November 22, follows a family that convinces the quartet to reunite to save a local concert house. But, only two of the original members — Terry Ellis and Cindy Herron — are in the film. They’re joined by Rhona Bennett, who was added to the group in 2003 to replace Robinson.
Robinson may not have grounds to follow through on her lawsuit because she gave up all rights to En Vogue when she left the group in 1997. Still, Robinson says if the suit doesn't pan out, she will at least boycott Lifetime. “I have no interest in watching it. It looks horrible. I’m sad for them,” she says, adding, “After seeing the Aaliyah biopic, I’m extremely worried that this is going to be a train wreck.”

Lifetime has come under fire in recent months for its string of unauthorized celebrity biopics, including Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B, which premiered last weekend, and the upcoming film on Whitney Houston.
