Mic Drop: Halle Berry Schools James Corden In Epic Rap Battle
James Corden's rap battle segment from his late night talk show has been given the full series treatment on TBS, and one of the first to get the honor of showcasing her rhyming — and roasting — skills was Oscar winner Halle Berry.
Facing off with the talk show host in the "Drop the Mic" premiere episode earlier this week, Berry dropped bars like she had something to prove, especially after Corden sent this deep dig her way.
"Tonight the main event has me up against a legend and I admit Halle Berry is well-known in her profession. But let's not pretend that Catwoman didn't suck," he rhymed. "Halle, that was a Batman movie. How'd you mess that up?"
He didn't stop there — Corden continued comedically dragging the actress, targeting her failed marriages in his next set of bars.
"When it comes to getting married, three divorces is enough," he continued. "Forget signing autographs. Sign a prenup. You've done so many X-Men movies, maybe a dozen. I heard X-Men and I thought it was about your husbands."
Ouch! What he didn't know, though, is that she had the perfect comeback — starting off short and sweet.
"James has a Tony, that's cool and all. But I have an Oscar, so suck my monster balls," she rapped. "Fat jokes are too easy; I try to be nicer. But who held your pizza when you kissed Sean Spicer? You apologized, so I know you learned your lesson. Too bad you couldn't give a hand job to Jeff Sessions."
