Shonda Rhimes to Be Inducted Into Broadcasting Hall of Fame

National Association of Broadcasters to honor the TV powerhouse.

Shonda Rhimes is about to become a part of television history. The powerhouse producer behind Scandal, Grey's Anatomy and How to Get Away With Murder will be inducted into the National Association of Broadcasters' Hall of Fame in 2015, Variety reports.
The induction ceremony will take place during the NAB Show Television Luncheon on April 13 in Las Vegas.
"Shonda Rhimes's creative talent is undeniable and on display every Thursday night on ABC," said NAB Chief Executive Gordon Smith. "The characters and storylines she creates draw in viewers and keep them coming back for more. Her hit shows serve as Exhibit A on why broadcast television remains the most popular destination for scripted entertainment programming."
Rhimes will join the prestigious group of previous hall of fame inductees that include Everybody Loves RaymondAmerican IdolBetty WhiteGarry MarshallMeet the PressBob Newhart,The Tonight ShowSaturday Night LiveTed Koppel and Star Trek.
