Tony Jefferson Apologizes Because His Girlfriend Is 'Darker' Than He Is
After being blasted by K. Michelle for his offensive comments about Black women, football star Tony Jefferson is now apologizing for his harsh words.
To recap, the "Love 'Em All" singer noticed a meme on Arizona Cardinals Brennan Clay's Instagram page which featured a group of sexy women above the caption, "This Could Be Us." Jefferson took things to another level after he left a comment under the photo, reading, 'Ay pony you want that dark a** one in the middle too?" referencing the darker skinned Black woman in the center of the shot. Clay responded to the comment: "Haha the dark dish can go."
Well, once K caught wind of what went down, she let them have it, accusing them of having "short d**k syndrome." Apparently her words — and those of everyone else — pushed him to the edge as Jefferson hit up The Shade Room, personally, offering up an explanation and apology.
"This is so crazy! First off, I didn't post that picture... I only commented on it," he said. "I said, 'Ay pony you want that dark a** one in the middle too' only because 'Pony,' who is one of my boys, said he wanted a Black woman. It was obviously a joke. My mom and sister who I love are Black. My ex-girlfriend is darker than me so I know she is cracking up right now. But honestly I would never disrespect my people... If I offended anybody I sincerely apologize but this is crazy. whoever went searching 93 weeks to find this [picture] God bless you."
