Kevin Hart Has A Message For His Haters Following Controversy Over Oscars And Homophobic Tweets
Kevin Hart previously stated that he’d be stepping down from hosting the 2019 Oscars after controversial homophobic tweets were unearthed from years ago.
The comedian also apologized for those tweets, but now he’s offering up another message for his critics. Via Instagram, Hart posted a cryptic note relaying that he’s transforming backlash into motivation.
“People will throw stones at you. Don’t throw them back. Collect them all and build an empire,” the message reads.
Nick Cannon famously came to Kevin Hart’s defense after the infamous Tweets were leaked and pointed out how other celebrities tweeted controversial things but were never crucified (which is debatable). Other comics though, have also come to Hart’s defense, but wish he’d just let it all go and move on.
“In my best Strange’ voice ‘you shouldn’t have to blow your own hoooooorn’ The people rode for you. Don’t address it again. We got other s**t to do,” commented fellow “Plastic Cup Boyz” comedian Na’im Lynn.
