Too Far? Here’s What Simon Cowell Did To Make Mel B Throw A Drink On Him And Walk Off ‘America’s Got Talent’

The singer wasn't here for his dry humor.

Simon Cowell quickly gained a reputation for being the brutally honest and brashly offensive judge during his days on American Idol, and it seems as he's taken the infamous trait over to his latest gig at America's Got Talent.

However, while many are amused by the bluntness, one person who wasn't here for it was his co-judge Mel B, who was visibly upset after he made her the butt of one of his below-the-belt insults.

The Spice Girl, who is currently in the midst of a nasty divorce from her second husband, Stephen Belafonte, doused Cowell with water and stormed off the stage after he made a joke about her wedding night.

It all started after the show's host, Tyra Banks, asked Cowell how he felt about contestant, escape artist Demian Aditya's performance that went wrong following some techincal difficulties.

"I kind of think it will be like Mel B's wedding night," he responded. "A lot of anticipation, not much promise."

Shocked at his response, the singer, with her jaw on the floor, got out of her seat, and poured her mug of water all over Cowell before leaving the panel.

"Mel B is out," Tyra said. "This is live TV, all. Live TV." Mel B's co-judge Howie Mandel then added, "Something just went wrong."

Take a look at the dramatic scene, below:

Mel B eventually returned to the panel for the remainder of the show.

The pop star filed for divorce from her estranged husband earlier this year and was also granted a restraining order against him after accusing him of a slew of violations, inculding abuse, getting their nanny pregnant and forcing her to partake in threesomes.
