Box Office: Ouija Beats Out John Wick

Horror flick easily wins pre-Halloween weekend.

Movie audiences seemed to be in the Halloween mood this weekend. Horror flick Ouija rose to the top of the weekend box office, scaring up $20 million in ticket sales. The relatively low-budget film easily beat out Keanu Reeves‘s comeback action movie, John Wick, which came in second place and still exceeded expectations with $14.2 million.
Fury, the war film starring Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf, took third place in its second weekend with an additional $13 million for a domestic total of $46.1 million.
Rounding out the top five were Ben Affleck's Gone Girl and the family-friendly flick Book of Life, voiced by Channing Tatum and Zoe Saldana, which brought in $11.1 million and $9.8 million, respectively.
Next week's box office tricks and treats include Jake Gyllenhaal in the crime thriller Nightcrawler.

Watch Kevin Hart in a new episode of Real Husbands of Hollywood every Tuesday, 10P/9C.
