Jada Pinkett Smith may likely be reprising her role as Niobe in the forthcoming fourth installment of the Matrix franchise!
According to Deadline, the actress, who starred in parts two and three — The Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions — is currently in negotiations to return.
The site reports that the deal is not yet done, but if it all works out, this will surely be a major win for the franchise.
Matrix fans may remember Niobe as the captain of the Logos hovercraft in the films. Hailing from Zion, the site explains that "she is one of the rebels in the war against the Machines and the Matrix." In addition to her striking style and bad-a*s demeanor, she is also a gifted martial artist.
If negotiations go well, Pinkett Smith will join Neil Patrick Harris, Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in the cast for The Matrix 4.
