Watch Amanda Seales Drag Caitlyn Jenner on Her Privilege

The actress reminds the reality star of something pretty apparent.

Since initially announcing her transition, Caitlyn Jenner has represented a beacon of courage and inspiration for many transgender people everywhere. However, many grew to consider the reality star problematic the more she voiced her ironic stances on politics and white privilege.

This was put to the test during Katy Perry's live-streamed dinner where Insecure star Amanda Seales was also present, and the actress firmly checked Jenner on why the country isn't here for Black women, and, in the process, gave her a reality check she seemingly wasn't ready to accept.

Perry gathered several voices from different backgrounds for what she called a "Dinner with Discourse," which was live-streamed on YouTube.

Among the attendees were Van Jones, Anna Navarro, Margaret Cho and, of course, Jenner and Seales.

While most of those seated had some form of contributions to the topics that were being discussed, Jenner was noticeably silent throughout, and Seales pointed that out, highlighting that the reality star only spoke when she was prompted to and, in turn, wasn't listening to the others, which she found insulting.

"If this is a conversation about having conversations, then we have to be listening to each other," she said.

The Insecure actress and comedian then went on to explain how her experience in America as a Black woman has been vastly different from that of Jenner's, due to her white privilege. However, she stated that Jenner should, in fact, be able to understand her point of reference the most seeing as she is a trans woman, stemming from a community that is also marginalized by the wider community, in some regard.

When Jenner responded to her words with, "I believe in this country," Seales gave her a quick reality check.

"You can say that in a way that I cannot because you've had a different experience, because this country is here for you," she said. "This country ain't here for me in the same way, sis. It isn't and you, as a trans person, have to also identify the fact that this country hasn't been here for trans until like, maybe, 2 o'clock today."
