Moniece Slaughter's Meemaw Gave Her The Best Relationship Advice We've Ever Heard

Grandma Mimi is no joke.

Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood star Moniece Slaughter has garnered a reputation for unapologetically speaking her mind and the reality star recently took to Instagram to show just where she got that trait from: her grandmother Mimi.

In a few IG posts, Moniece shared a few precious moments where her Meemaw dished on her civil rights struggles from back in the day.

From segregated fountains and bathrooms to going commando, the OG touched on just about everything.

"I just said, 'Did you have some of that colored water over there? Ooh, it was nasty. I'd rather have this water. This is white water? This is good. Try it!'" she recalled telling someone back then.

Take a look, below:

Her strength from back then has transcended time, as even today she stands firm in her convictions of not needing a man for anything, telling the camera, "I don't need a man to complete me. I am complete all by myself."

She ended with this gem: "I want to be in total control of what I want to do, when I want to do it, and how I want to do it."
