Did the Creators of Barbershop Do Wrong by This Young Actor?

You be the judge.

Critics and audiences are raving about Barbershop 3, but behind the scenes, the film seems to be plagued with drama. After a man claiming the filmmakers stole the idea for the franchise from him decided to sue the week before the film hit theaters, seeking an injunction, another report has surfaced on TMZ that the producers drastically underpaid child actor Michael Rainey Jr., who plays Ice Cube's son in the film.
The site says Rainey got a $65,000 check for his role as the trouble-seeking teen in the film, but unlike his adult co-stars, won't see any upside if the film is a box office success — which it is.
Now, you may be thinking, $65K doesn't sound too bad for a 15-year-old, and Rainey seems to agree. He's still out there promoting the hell out of the movie and seems genuinely thrilled by its success:

So, is this much ado about nothing, or should Rainey be making Bow Wow bucks? We'll let you be the judge.
Meanwhile, watch Ice Cube talk about his real-life son, O'Shea Jackson Jr., dating Khloé Kardashian in our explosive interview, below:
