Jada Pinkett-Smith thinks someone was snubbed by the Oscars this year, it's just not her husband Will Smith. 
The actress stopped to chat with some photographers after a meeting with the mayor of Flint, Michigan, where she was to discuss the water crisis, and shared some more thoughts on #OscarsSoWhite. Asked if she's happy about the Academy's initiative to open its doors to more minority members, Jada says it's great, but not a full solution. 
"Of course I think that's necessary," she says, "but I'm hoping the Academy understands that it's not just about having more Black voters...to give the connotation that Black people vote Black."

Then, she points out one film in particular that she feels was overlooked. "Some of the things that I heard was, like, Beasts of No Nation was too difficult to watch. Maybe," she says. "But these are the reasons that we have art. So we can come out of our comfort zones and get to know other cultures, other realities. And I must admit, Idris [Elba's] performance in that movie was fantastic."

Obviously Jada wasn't about to make a case for her husband's snub — especially after all the backlash she received for starting this boycott — but we gotta wonder how Will feels about her shouting out Idris like this! He is, after all, a little paranoid about losing roles to the British star.

As for holding her ground about her boycott, Jada says, "Absolutely. I'm not going to the Oscars this year, but I think that anybody who wants to, should." Even though Will and Jada will be sitting this one out, we doubt they'll be able to resist watching from home because it looks like Chris Rock's opening monologue is going to be fire:
