Jada Pinkett Smith Confronted Will Smith Over His Drinking And It Didn’t Go Well

The awkwardness went down on the latest ‘Red Table Talk.’

For the first time ever, the entire Smith family is gathered around the table for the latest episode of Jada Pinkett Smith's Facebook Watch series Red Table Talk. And in true RTT fashion, plenty of family secrets were spilled.

In a segment of the latest episode, Jada reveals that she and her husband Will Smith have a rough patch over his drinking.

During the intimate family chat — which included Jada, Will, their children Willow and Jaden Smith, and the Girls Trip star's mother Adrienne Banfield-Jones — Jada confronted the Aladdin star about an apparent alcohol problem.

"How often are you drinking alcohol?," she asked him.

The actor, surprised by the sudden question, did not take well to being put on the spot.

"That's my personal business, Jada," he said with a grin. "I respect that it's your show, but at the end of the day, this is a house that we share."

During his own Facebook Watch series, Bucket List, Will previously discussed his relationship with alcohol.

"I didn't drink for over a decade. During my rise as a movie star, I was, like, wildly disciplined," he said. "So, being in this place in my life, even something as simple as taking my shirt off while I'm out of shape, like, you know, this for me now allowing myself to be seen less than optimally is new."

Elsewhere in the episode, the couple reveals how they once staged an intervention for their son Jaden because his vegan diet was preventing him from getting enough protein.

"He was wasting away," Jada said. "He just looked drained, he was just depleted, he wasn't getting the nutrients."
