Stevie Wonder, Fiancée Not Expecting Triplets
Stevie Wonder is about to be a dad again, but to one baby, not three. Reports surfaced last week that the singer and his fiancée Tomeka Robyn Bracy were expecting triplets. Not so, Wonder confirmed on The View Wednesday morning.
The singer, who will welcome his ninth child this December, joked with Whoopi Goldberg, "I got, how many, 22 kids?"
He went on to clarify, "It's not true. The truth is we're going to have a wonderful daughter, to be born in December. Name is going to be Nia, which is 'purpose.'"
Added Wonder, "Rumors spread, and like I said in the song 'Superstition,' when you believe in things you don't understand, you suffer." To avoid any further rumors, he said of the triplets tale: "That's a bunch of bull!"
Congratulations to Wonder and his fiancée on their upcoming bundle — singular! — of joy.
