16 Muslim Celebrities Who Make America Great

Iman, Ice Cube, Mahershala Ali and more.

From Mahershala Ali to Ice Cube - With Donald Trump as our POTUS, many people have seen their lives become mocked and ridiculed — among this list are America's Muslim population. Back in 2016, Trump banned Muslims from specific countries (although he claims it's not a ban) and protests broke out all over the country. Most recently, in 2019, he claimed Rep. Ilhan Omar "hated our country" and told her and three other liberal congresswomen to "go back" to their countries of origin. His comments were later condemned as racist in a House resolution. To show our support of the Muslim American population, here’s a look at a few celebs who are great representations of the Islamic faith.(Photos from left: Scott Kowalchyk/CBS via Getty Images, Johnny Nunez/WireImage, Kevin Winter/Getty Images for WarnerMedia)
Lupe Fiasco - The “Kick Push” MC grew up Muslim from birth. Born Wasalu Muhammad Jaco in Chicago, he was raised in a firmly Muslim household and even speaks out on political issues today. With an intelligent mind and a Muslim background, Lupe is definitely Trump’s kryptonite.(Photo: Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images)
Iman - She’s the supermodel that never ages. Iman Abdulmajid identifies as Muslim but says she does not regularly practice the religion.(Photo: Johnny Nunez/WireImage)Dave Chappelle - The comedian converted to Islam in 1998 and recently made it known that he’s not a big fan of the Donald.(Photo: Andrew Toth/Getty Images for Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation)
