Former Radio Host Speaks Out About Alleged R. Kelly Abuse

Kitti Jones talks starvation, sexual coercion, physical assault and more.

The list of women R. Kelly has allegedly assaulted continues to grow with another recently coming forward detailing her reportedly abusive relationship with the R&B singer.

Former Dallas radio DJ Kitti Jones spoke on her past romantic relationship with the "I Wish" crooner in a new Rolling Stone feature.

Explaining that she first met him at a 2011 work event, Jones said their relationship progressed quickly with her eventually moving in with him in Chicago. She claimed that from then on, he became increasingly abusive, verbally, physically, psychologically and sexually.

She said that he also abused "other girlfriends" by forcing them all to perform sex acts on him, taking their phones and withholding food.

Jones' recollection aligns with the allegations made in the Buzzfeed News report published earlier this year where parents of women who are reportedly currently living with the singer detailed the environment as an abusive "sex cult."

Similarly to the details mentioned in the Buzzfeed exposé, Jones, in her account, said that she was required to ask for permission to use the bathroom, wear baggy sweatpants while in public and she was never to speak to or look at other men. Unlike the women who spoke with Buzzfeed, however, Jones appeared in public with the singer, accompanying him on tour in 2012.

R. Kelly's reps have since issued a statement to Rolling Stone firmly denying all of Jones' allegations.

"Mr. Kelly is aware of the repeated and now evolving claims of [Ms. Jones]," the statement reads. "It is unfortunate that Ms. Jones, after public statements to the contrary, is now attempting to portray a relationship history with Mr. Kelly as anything other than consensual involvement between two adults. As stated previously, Mr. Kelly does not control the decision-making or force the actions of any other human being, including Ms. Jones, by her own admission. Any claim of wrongdoing of any kind or of mistreatment of any woman by him is false, ill-motived and defamatory."
