For the first time since 2015, Lamar Odom's daughter, Destiny, is speaking out on her father's addiction with People. And during her talk, she explains why she saw his relationship with Khloé Kardashian as unhealthy.

During a video interview for a People Entertainment Network feature titled Surviving a Father's Addiction: Lamar Odom's Family Speaks Out, the 18-year-old briefly touched on the former reality TV couple's marriage, which lasted from 2009 to 2016. 

She explained that her father became "addicted" to the attention he was receiving while being with Khloé.

"I tried for my dad," she said. "I wouldn't say it was a matter of my dad loving Khloé more than me. I think that my dad has an addictive personality, so he was addicted to the attention he got with Khloé more than me. It was a very toxic relationship."

Destiny also touched on how she felt seeing her father in the Nevada hospital following his drug episode.

"We all thought... he was going to pass away," she said. "I basically gave him the ultimatum that it was rehab or him not speaking to me anymore."

The athlete cherished his relationship with his children more as he ultimately chose to go to rehab.
