Kandi Burruss Breaks Down in Tears Over Her 'Poster-Boy Deadbeat' Daughter's Father

The RHOA star got a surprise visit she didn't want.

Things got pretty serious on last night's episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta when Kandi Burruss got an unexpected — and unwelcome — visit from someone connected to her past.
A woman named Kris Kelli, who is currently dating Kandi's daughter Riley's father, Russell 'Block' Spencer, paid Kandi a visit at her store the Kandi Factory, and clearly rattled the reality star. According to the conversation, Kelli says Spencer wants to see his daughter despite the fact that he hasn't been a part of the 14-year-old's life at all.

"I've always tried to be open whenever he reached out… but if you go years without checking in on your child — that is poster-boy deadbeat," Kandi told Kelli. "The hardest I've ever seen [Riley] cry is dealing with some situation with him."
Kandi went on to explain that her daughter and Spencer haven’t connected in years. “Riley at a certain point used to reach out to him, and he never really would reach back,” Kandi said. “And she put up this wall… She doesn’t want to deal with it.” It's a fact that makes Kandi deeply unhappy, she added. “I didn’t have a relationship with my father,” Kandi said. “And I don’t want to see my child go through that.”
As for Riley, she seems ambivalent about reuniting with her dad. “I don’t really want to say that I don’t care, but it’s like … they call that ‘void,’” she told her mom. “He should be the one [to try to connect with me], not his girlfriend."
By the end of the episode, Kandi agrees to see Spencer and see what's what, but the rest of us will have to wait until next week to see what happens. Bet your ass Mama Joyce is going to have something to say, as well.
