Exclusive: What Would Cookie, Lucious And Jamal Think Of Trump?

The cast of "Empire" gives us the rundown.

The real world is currently experiencing first-hand the effects of the Trump administration with this new era of the United States presidency, but what if this all existed in the Empire world.

BET.com caught up with Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard and Jussie Smollett of the hit Fox drama, who shared their thoughts on what their respective characters would think of the current POTUS.

Right off the bat, it's safe to say that neither Smollett nor his character, Jamal Lyon, would ever entertain the possibility of a President Trump.

"Trump don't exist is my world," he said. "So, I don't know. I mean, you're going to have to ask down the road, but as of now, the motherf**ker don't exist."

Henson and Howard, who play Cookie and Lucious Lyon, on the other hand, would be open to the twisted nature it can bring to the show, especially given their characters' unapologetically outspoken personas.

"I would like it to," they both said in unison before Howard added, "I would love to get a piece of that."

"I mean, the things that Cookie could say out of her mouth," Henson continued. "They're not shy people when it comes to speaking their truth."

"I might go Kim Jong Un on him," Howard interrupted while Henson laughed.
