She Tried It: Stacey Dash Slams Cousin Dame And Kanye West For ‘Using’ Her To Promote Their Film

Cool story, bro.

On Thursday, Stacey Dash distanced herself from her cousin Damon Dash’s new movie Honor Up after a poster for the film — which appears to have been shot some time ago — showed up on Dame's Instagram with an announcement that it would be hitting theaters next spring.
The actress-turned-conservative news pundit was so shook over being in a "Black" film (the indie project is also produced by Kanye West and stars Cam'Ron), that she filed a lawsuit to remove all evidence of the film from, presumably, the face of the Earth. She also took to Twitter address the controversy.

Starting off with some not so subtle shade, Dash wrote, “I’m sorry that my cousin Damon Dash is using our family relationship to advertise his movie.”

“I have no written contract with him or Kanye West’s company (who I have no dealings with at all). No one is authorized to use my name or photograph for Honor Up.”

Stacey Dash’s response comes as no surprise. During her stint as a news pundit for Fox News, Dash denied the need for Black History Month and the BET Awards. “We have to make up our minds,” she explained on an episode of Fox & Friends. “Either we want to have segregation or integration. And if we don’t want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the Image Awards, where you’re only awarded if you’re Black. If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It’s a double standard.”

Ironically, Dash, a proud Trump supporter, was let go from her position on Fox shortly after he was elected last November.
