Here's What Happens When Phylicia Rashad Is Grilled About Bill Cosby's Rape Allegations

She's the latest Cosby Show star to speak out.

In the past year and a half, Bill Cosby's legacy went from TV icon to sexual predator. It seems like everyone and their mother has an opinion on Cosby's troubles, but the folks we want to hear from the most are his Cosby Show co-stars, who were his on-screen family for decades when he was America's Favorite Dad.
In general, the Huxtables have been pretty silent about the allegations levied against the comedy icon. But, last week, Keshia Knight Pulliam couldn't help but defend Cosby after Amber Rose poked a little fun at him.

Now, Cosby's on-screen wife, Phylicia Rashadis facing questions about her thoughts on the scandal. The actress (sort of) came to Cosby's defense — at least by not slamming him in the media. "Am I connected to a big story or am I connected to human beings? I’m not connected to the story at all. I’m connected to people," she told the New York Times during an interview about her Off-Broadway show Head of Passes
Asked about the specific allegations that Cosby sexually abused and raped dozens of women, she said, "This is in litigation now, right? Then I’m not commenting on anything. Let that play itself out."
This isn't the first time Rashad has jumped to her former co-star's defense. She famously said in an interview last year that we should all "forget these women" when it comes to the scandal. After sparking outrage with her comments, Rashad claimed she was misquoted, and that her comment was about the "obliteration of a legacy" and not the specific circumstances of the women who said they were abused by Cosby.
