Report: Judge Orders Warrant for Damon Dash's Arrest
The battle between Damon Dash and ex-wife Rachel Roy has gotten more intense, with a judge ordering an arrest warrant for the Roc-a-Fella Records founder on Wednesday. Dash apparently owes Roy more than $340,000, which he is required to either pay back or face the slammer.
According to Bossip, Judge Matthew Cooper gave Dash the orders, with the exact amount summing up to $341,999.16. Roy's attorney, Donnell Suares, broke down the cost, saying that he owes his client $91,249 in back child support, school and camp fees, and another $250,750 in debts that Roy allegedly had to pay when Dash broke their divorce agreement.
"He failed on his default," Judge Cooper said. "He has failed to appear... I will issue a warrant, unless he can avoid arrest by purging contempt, and the purge is $341,999."
Making things even worse for the former music mogul, Judge Cooper also ordered him to dish out an additional $25,000 of Roy's $40,000 legal fees.
Earlier this month, Dash was a no-show during the custody hearing for his two daughters, Ava and Tallulah. He eventually lost custody of them both.
