'Black Panther' Sets More Records During Its Second Weekend At The Box Office

Wakanda is turning into the land of gold.

Black Panther is continuing to do crazy numbers.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Disney and Marvel Studios film is setting second-weekend records where it is slated to produce more than $100 million.

BP already outdid The Avengers in its first week reporting upwards of $292 million through Thursday (February 22). It earned $28.9 million on Friday and if it meets estimates of $105 million by the end of Sunday, it will score as the third-best weekend of all-time behind Star Wars: Force Awakens ($149.2 million) and Jurassic World ($106.6 million).

So far, Black Panther has grossed $400 million in America and over $600 million globally.

During its opening weekend, Black Panther became the fifth-biggest Friday through Sunday opening weekend of all time, trailing The Avengers, Jurassic World, The Last Jedi and The Force Awakens.

Sheesh!

Oh yeah, it’s also been reported that a Wakanda sequel could be in the works. Find out more about that here.
