Halle Berry’s Malibu Home Was Reportedly Invaded By Pirates

Not making this up.

Halle Berry reportedly suffered two major setbacks over the past two months as, in addition to being forced to evacuate her Malibu beach-front home due to the Southern California wildfires, her residence was invaded by pirates following her departure.

Yep — you read that correctly.

According to Radar Online, in the extensively unfortunate turn of events, the Oscar-winning actress' multi-million-dollar Malibu waterfront home was robbed by pirates, who arrived at the $8 million mansion by boat.

"The looters got there by boat," an insider told the site. "Literally, they were pirates!"

Once the actress was informed of what had taken place, she reportedly was not allowed to return to the area and "was frantic."

After the Monster's Ball star left her home after realizing it was within the path of the rapidly intensifying Woolsey Fire on November 8, the group of burglars ransacked her home in what was described as a scene "that could have been plucked from a movie," as they sailed up to the rear of the house.

Among her stolen belongings were expensive artwork and priceless personal items, according to insiders.

"These criminals were clever," the source continued. "They knew exactly what they were doing! They knew that the fire gave them exactly the cover they needed to pull off the job."
