Bill Cosby Will Keep His Star on the Walk of Fame

Plus, Stacey Dash retracts her support of the fallen icon.

Looks like Bill Cosby is losing everything these days — friends, career, legacy — but he will still be able to hold on to his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Despite protests and petitions calling for the star's removal following this week's bombshell revelations that Cosby admitted to drugging women for sex, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce doesn't have plans to evict the fallen icon.
“The answer is no,” said Leron Gubler, the Chamber's president and CEO. “Once a star has been added to the Walk, it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Because of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk.”
Meanwhile, Cosby's actions are so heinous that not even Stacey Dash can stand behind him anymore. The actress and Fox News host retracted her support of the sitcom star on Thursday, in a surprisingly heartfelt essay called "I Was Wrong."
She compares Cosby to her uncle Ferdinand, who she grew up with but later learned was a pimp. “I think of Bill Cosby now and I think of Uncle Freddy: two men who affected my life in a positive way, but who left wreckage behind them,” Dash writes. “The evil, terrible, unspeakable acts they did cannot be ignored. I’m not sure why we want to elevate certain people and believe they are better than they are. I guess for the same reason we hope we’re better than we are.”
