Bobby Brown Clarifies Bobbi Kristina's Condition

R&B singer says his daughter is not awake, but improving.

Bobby Brown raised hopes this past weekend when he announced at a concert in Dallas that his daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, is "awake" after spending nearly three months on life support. Now the R&B singer is clarifying his earlier comments.
In a statement Monday issued through his lawyer, Christopher Brown, Brown confirms that the 22-year-old's condition has changed since she was transferred from Emory University Hospital to the rehabilitation center, and that there has in fact been improvement.

THE UPS AND DOWNS OF BOBBI KRISTINA BROWN

"Doctors have indicated that she will have a long life," Brown's attorney wrote. "However, Bobbi Kristina is presently embarking on a rehabilitation process and the quality of her life will not be known for years to come." Brown also said in the statement, "We thank everyone that supports Bobbi Kristina and God is hearing our prayers."
Meanwhile, Brown's sister Leolah Brown warns that people may "hear from those who wish to see my niece go away forever" and said those people "lust after Bobbi Kristina's money and seek to benefit from her tragedy." Leolah Brown has a well-documented history of beef with the Houston family. In March, she called Pat Houston a "money hungry beast" and said that Whitney Houston's sister-in-law had "a lot to do" with Bobbi Kristina's condition.
"Whether it be her actual hand, I can't say that right now," Leolah said at the time. "But I hold her accountable for what happened to my niece, Bobbi Kristina, because of what knowledge I have of her."
On the other side, Cissy Houston told TMZ, "I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive." She also said, "Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me."
